1965- born in Ryazan,
Russia.
1993-
graduated from the Moscow Institute of Arts named
after Surikov.
Since1995-works at the studio "House of
Artists".
Since1996 -a member of the Russian Artists
Association.
Since1987 -participation in regional,
republican, all-Union and international exhibitions.
1996 -personal exhibition in
Moscow, Russia.
Skilled in techniques of"sgrafito",fresco,mosaic.

projects
(including-restoration
of collection of15-th
century icons in Italy),in restoration of the Sretensky Monastery in Moscow,in wall-painting of the Kazan
Holy Mother's Cathedral at the Kazansky railway
station in Moscow, Russia.
Works can be found in private collections
in Italy, Sweden, Cyprus, Turkey and China.
Sergei Shampanov's works are very
personal, they are full of love to a person and
nature; this is the main thing for an artist.
Irrespective of the works' subject there is always a
kind of his "life piece". It is this memory of heart
that fills his works with spirituality. For one can
only paint sincerely if you know things that affect
and touch you very well.
